The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has announced the 16 Missouri Regional Teachers of the Year who have been selected as semi-finalists for the 2025 Missouri Teacher of the Year award.
Jennifer Webber, kindergarten teacher at Buchanan Elementary, has been named one of the semi-finalists. Webber has been with the Branson School District since 2014.
“Starting the school year as a semi-finalist for Missouri Teacher of the Year fills my heart with gratitude and excitement, reminding me of the incredible impact we can have on our students' lives and inspiring me to give my very best each day. It is a tremendous honor and a testament to the hard work, dedication and passion I try to bring to my classroom each and every day. In addition, this is a reflection of the supportive community I am a part of and the shared commitment to fostering a love of learning in our students,” says Webber.
The Teacher of the Year selection process began with the announcement of 34 Regional Teachers of the Year who represented each of the state’s nine Regional Professional Development Center (RPDC) areas. Next, DESE will announce the finalists for the 2025 Missouri Teacher of the Year award on Thursday, August 29.
