New playground equipment to be installed at Branson park

A Branson Park will soon receive a makeover.

The Branson Parks and Recreation Department has announced upcoming upgrades to the park, located at the corner of Long and 5th Street.

Commonly referred to as Nygard Park, this neighborhood park is a favorite gathering spot for those living nearby, and offers picnic tables, benches and a swing set.

In an effort to make the park more enjoyable for area families, the Branson Parks and Recreation Department has made the decision to upgrade Nygard Park with a new playground, complete with a modern saucer swing.  

With the renovations, the 1.3-acre John Nygard Memorial Park will offer a more enjoyable venue for children and families.
