Branson Veterans of America hold trout tournament

Branson Veterans of America held their 12th annual trout tournament on October 19 at Scotty’s Marina and Restaurant. Thirteen teams entered and some nice fish were caught. First, second and third place plaques and checks were presented. There was a tie for first place, and a coin toss was used to pick first and second place.

First place: Gary Groman and John Neill; second place: Janeine Plumlee and Chasyn Hofman; third place: Mike Helsley and Lars Helsley.

An auction and raffle along with lunch were held after the tournament. All proceeds are allocated to our veterans’ assistance program for helping local Vets.

We would like to thank the following people and businesses that contributed to the tournament with items for prizes and raffle or food items for lunch. We want to give a special thanks to Bill Thibodeaux and his crew at Scotty’s Marina and Restaurant for their help with the tournament and generous help at the auction.
